In addition to setting out permitting requirements, the Agricultural Operation Practices Act (AOPA) also sets out ongoing operational requirements for manure spreading and storage, permit conditions, decommissioning and temporary suspension of manure storage facilities, record keeping, and notifying the NRCB of changes in ownership or contact information.

Operations that are grandfathered by AOPA may also require documentation to help the NRCB confirm their permitted livestock numbers and facilities.
