Page Stuart has an established reputation in sustainability, operations management, and farm safety, as well as extensive experience identifying economic, environmental, and social strengths and opportunities in business practices, particularly in the agriculture industry. Her experience includes chair of the Alberta Cattle Feeders’ Association; inaugural co-chair of the Alberta Agriculture Farm and Ranch Safety Coalition (AgCoalition); industry co-chair of the Alberta Farm Safety Advisory Council; and board positions on the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef; McDonald’s Pilot Advisory Board; the Alberta Strategic Advisory Body to Work Safe Alberta; the Intensive Livestock Working Group; and the Alberta Environmentally Sustainable Agriculture Council. From 2009 to 2011 Page also represented the Alberta Cattle Feeders’ Association on the Policy Advisory Group, a multi-stakeholder advisory body to Agriculture and Forestry and the Natural Resources Conservation Board.
A fifth-generation rural Albertan, Page grew up on a mixed farm in central Alberta. Her experience in the livestock industry includes 17 years as manager of a 36,000 head feedlot, and several years as co-owner of a commercial and purebred cow-calf operation. Until recently Page was special projects and business analyst with Highway 21 Feeders, and previously held positions as corporate affairs and senior sales for Elanco Animal Health; research manager for Highmark Renewables Inc.; and general manager for Highland Feeders Limited. Early in her career Page worked for the Government of Alberta in applied research relating to environmental toxicology.
Page is a Professional Agrologist, with a degree in Animal Science and an Executive Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Alberta.
Page is actively engaged in 4H with her two children, and in the vocal and cello communities as both a participant and volunteer. She currently resides in Vegreville.
