Applications

Applying for a permit is a two-step process:

The Part 1 application notifies the NRCB that the operator plans to submit an application. The approval officer establishes the minimum distance separation (MDS) on the date the Part 1 application is received and gives the municipality a copy of the application.

The Part 2 application provides the technical details. The formal review of the application (including public notice, if required) is initiated when the Part 2 application is deemed to be complete—that is, when all of the required information has been provided.
