Chin Reservoir Project - Update

On August 8, 2025, the St. Mary River Irrigation District (the proponent) submitted its response to Supplemental Information Request #1 (SIR1) for the Chin Reservoir Expansion Project.

The NRCB and Alberta Environment and Protected Areas (EPA) will now review the response. When they have determined that the application is complete, the NRCB will issue a Notice to advise that the public interest review process can begin.

If the NRCB and EPA find further deficiencies in the application they will submit a second Supplemental Information Request to the proponent.
