Snake Lake Reservoir Expansion Project - Update

Alberta Environment and Protected Areas (EPA) has sent supplemental information requests (SIR#1) to Eastern Irrigation District (the proponent) for the Snake Lake Reservoir Expansion Project.

Supplemental information requests are required when the NRCB, EPA, and other government experts assess a proponent’s environmental impact assessment/application and determine that information is missing or incomplete. When the proponent responds satisfactorily to all supplemental information requests the environmental impact assessment/application can be determined to be complete by EPA.

Once EPA independently confirms that the EIA/application meets the final Terms of Reference for the project the NRCB will publish a notice to advise the application is complete and the public review process will commence.
